Why is Our Name the Soaring Scarves Academy?
CEO and Founder- Leanna O’Brien- wanted to give her students an experience in music as her students learned the fundamentals through their bodies! This all started through getting her students up and moving to classical music!
Suddenly, she started to see and hear the difference it was making in her school. Students weren’t confusing the fundamentals of music, were excited to learn about composers, and were even heard walking down the halls humming/singing to Mozart, Greig, Beethoven and more!
So the Soaring Scarves Academy was Created!

Students have trouble with basic musical concepts
Vocabulary and experiences are not the same thing.
See your students demonstrate what dynamics, articulation, pitch, timbre, texture and form feel like before even knowing the words!
Students do not want to sit and listen to classical music.
Your students will not sit and listen, but instead become a part of it!
Make listening to classical music an experience students look forward to at the start of each of your classes!
Classroom Management vs. Classroom Movement
Children need to move! Why not encourage them to learn at the same time?
Give your students the chance to move, refocus, and meet clear expectations, all while getting out their wiggles and enjoying music.
Students are nervous to improvise.
Through short experiences your students will get a chance to show what they think the music sounds like through their bodies.
Students will do this all while being challenged to listen and show what they hear.
